BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will appear before the media for the first time since the 10th parliamentary elections at a press conference to be held on Wednesday afternoon.
The press conference is expected to roll out the future course of the BNP's anti-government programmes in light of the nation's current political climate.
The new Awami League government formed through the elections has already garnered the felicitation of major world powers including Russia, India and China.
Even the United States, who are in disapproval of the 10th parliamentary polls, have said they will work with the new administration of Sheikh Hasina.
Meanwhile, the BNP has retracted from agitation programmes such as hartals and blockades with most of their top leaders under imprisonment.
At least 20 lives were lost in the anti-polls violence sponsored by the BNP-led 18-party alliance during the elections which the party had boycotted.
However, the polls did take place and a new government of Awami League has been formed, with many ruling leaders saying it will rule for the next five years.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is likely to address these issues at her press conference, which will be held at Westin Hotel in the capital around 4pm.
The presser follows meetings with 18-party alliance leaders and discussions with several foreign diplomats.
