The activists of Juba Dal, the youth wing of opposition BNP, were locked in a clash with law enforcers in section 11 of Mirpur in the capital, Sunday morning.
Juba Dal supporters brought out a procession in Mirpur 11's kitchen market area, sometime around 7:30am.
Police chased the blockaders to try and disperse them, Kamal Hossain, assistant commissioner of Pallabi region, said.
Meanwhile, the blockade supporters set off crude bombs targeting the police members. In retaliation the law enforcers fired rubber bullets.
Police claimed that four to five activists were injured in the clash.
