Hasnat Abdullah, the chief organizer (Southern Region) of the National Citizen Party (NCP) said that no one wishes to see the Awami League in politics any longer.

He made this remark on Tuesday at an Iftar gathering held at the Ruposhi Bangla Grand Hall of Hotel Intercontinental.

The event was organized by the National Citizen Party (NCP).

Hasnat Abdullah said: “I did not want to see the Awami League in politics, nor do I wish to see them now. All political parties must reach a consensus on this matter and set an example for future generations.”

During his speech, the NCP leader expressed his gratitude to the anti-fascist political forces.

Hasnat further said: “We are undergoing a reform process, and we hope to complete it soon as per our expectations.”

Reflecting on past struggles, he said: “We have endured a long battle. For an extended period, we suffered under a fascist regime—facing oppression, enforced disappearances, and killings."

"Now, we have been able to unite in a Bangladesh free from fascism. Through this Ramadan Iftar, I hope that all divisions will be set aside, fostering unity among us," he added.
