Jatiya Party (JaPa) Chairman GM Quader and his wife Sharifa Quader have collected nomination forms for two seats in Dhaka to compete in the 12th national parliamentary election.
They have collected the nomination forms from the returning officer.
According to the Dhaka Divisional Commissioner's office, Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader has obtained a nomination form for the Dhaka-17 constituency, which includes the Gulshan-Banani and Bhasantek areas.
Sharifa Quader has obtained nomination papers for the Dhaka-18 Constituency, covering the Kuril, Khilkhet, and Uttara areas.
Until Saturday, 80 people, including GM Quader and Sharifa Quader, have obtained nomination forms for 20 constituencies in Dhaka.
Election Officer MM Shahnaz Parvin of Dhaka’s Ramna thana informed the media about this information.
Seven people, including GM Quader, have obtained nomination forms for Dhaka-17, while three, including Sharifa Quader, have collected nomination papers for Dhaka-18.
The current Member of Parliament for the Dhaka-17 Constituency is Mohammad A Arafat from the Awami League, and for the Dhaka-18 Constituency is Mohammad Habib Hasan.
The 12th national parliamentary election will be held on January 7, 2024. The chief election commissioner announced the election schedule while addressing the nation on November 15.
