Jubo League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash on Thursday said BNP’s main enemy is the people of Bangladesh.
“They were defeated by the people of this country in 1971. Under the leadership of the Awami League, the freedom-loving people fought and liberated the country. For this reason, BNP has a grudge over the people of this country,” he said while addressing a protest rally at the Central Shaheed Minar.
Awami League is not their main opponent, their main rival is the people of this country. And for this reason, BNP-Jamaat kills and tortures the people of Bangladesh repeatedly, he added.
"There was a conspiracy behind the tragic August 15 massacre - and that was to distort the history of our independence, to destroy the identity of Bangalis, to kill the principles of our independence," the Jubo League chairman said.
BNP destroyed the pillars of Bangladesh’s democracy, secularism, socialism, and economy.
“Ziaur Rahman, the main mastermind behind August 15, established BNP through assassination to gain control,” Parash said.
Jubo League General Secretary Md Mainul Hossain Nikhil, presidium members Manjur Alam Shaheen, Tajuddin Ahmed, and others were also present at the program.
