14-party alliance: BNP's 27-point legitimizes war criminals

‘Rainbow Nation’ and ‘National Reconciliation Commission’ presented by the opposition present the same idea, claims the alliance

The ruling Awami League-led 14-party alliance has claimed that the 27-point outline presented by the opposition BNP on Monday is a way to legitimize war criminals in Bangladesh again.

The alliance also claimed that the “Rainbow Nation” and “National Reconciliation Commission” presented by the opposition also present the same idea, reports Bangla Tribune.

Awami League's advisory council member and coordinator of the 14-party alliance Amir Hossain Amu made the remarks at a media briefing on Wednesday.

Amu said: "The 14-party alliance would never reconcile with the murderers of ‘71 and ‘75. These matters have been settled long ago. There is no need to repeat it.''

Stating that the people of the country have experienced the BNP rule before, the senior Awami League leader said: "BNP's politics against the state and the people has been rejected by the countrymen in the past. They will reject it again this time.”

On Tuesday, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal also termed BNP's 27-point demands as a black deed of legitimating war criminals, killers, radicals, and militants.

By giving the 27-point followed by 10-point, BNP again proved that their main target is to seize the state power again with the alliance of Jamaat, reports BSS.

BNP's demand for “National Reconciliation” portrays its desire to legitimate the crimes against humanity committed in 1971, the assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15, the killings of four national leaders on November 3, the killings of freedom fighters and soldiers and August 21 grenade attacks, BNP quoted the party as saying.
