At least 25 activists were injured in a clash between two factions of Comilla University (CU) Chhatra League on Saturday.
Kazi Omar Siddiqui, proctor of the university, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune,.
Earlier on Friday, around 12pm, another clash took place between Chhatra League leaders and activists in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall and Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall of Comilla University.
Some students of Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall stated there had been tension between the Chhatra League leaders and activists of the two halls since Saturday morning due to an incident on Friday night.
In the afternoon, one side took a position in front of the main gate of the campus and threw bricks at the other side. Later, clashes started.
The university's proctor, Kazi Omar Siddiqui the students of the two halls have been evacuated and they are trying to keep both sides calm.
Against the backdrop of ongoing clashes, the university authorities decided to postpone exams on Sunday and Monday. However, regular classes will continue.
