BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is leading a lavish life in jail, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said.
"In the jail, Khaleda Zia is getting facilities like a queen usually gets. She has a maidservant there. I never heard that any prisoner in any country of the world gets a servant," Sheikh Hasina, also the president of Bangladesh Awami League, said.
She came up with the comments while delivering the opening speech at a meeting of the National Committee of Bangladesh Awami League at Ganabhaban on Wednesday afternoon.
"Now-a-days, people are struggling to find a servant, but Khaleda Zia got one in prison to aide her for a relaxed life," she said.
It was a scheduled meeting of the party ahead of its triennial national conference.
