Jatiya Party Co-Chairman GM Quader will act as the party chief in absence of HM Ershad.
Jatiya Party Chairman Ershad made the announcement in a press release issued on Friday, a day after GM Quader was reinstated as party co-chairman.
Earlier on January 17, Ershad appointed his younger brother to act as party chief in his absence in line with the party constitution.

On March 23, Ershad, also leader of the main opposition in parliament, removed GM Quader from the co-chairman post, saying he has failed to carry out his duties and created divisions within the party.
However on Thursday, Ershad made another public statement restoring GM Quader to his co-chairman post.
