BNP chief’s adviser Asaduzzaman dies

Asaduzzaman had been suffering from cancer

BNP chairperson's adviser Kazi Asaduzzaman Asad has died. He was 67.

Asad, also the founding convener of Jatiayatabadi Chhatra Dal, died at Holy Family Hospital around 9am on Wednesday, his wife Yeasmin Asad said.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter. A host of relatives and well-wishers are mourning his death.

Asad had been suffering from cancer and was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, in critical condition.

His first namaz-e-janaza will be held in front of BNP's Naya Paltan Central Office after Zuhr prayers.

Meanwhile, BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman and Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed deep shock at his death.

In a series of condolence messages, they prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and conveyed their sympathy to the bereaved family members.
