BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who was under treatment at Evercare Hospital, is expected to return home on Saturday evening.
“The BNP chairperson will leave Evercare Hospital for home around 5pm today,” said Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP's media cell.
Earlier, on Tuesday, around 1:40am, Khaleda Zia was admitted to Evercare Hospital.
This follows her previous admission to the same hospital on April 29, after which she returned home five days later.
Khaleda Zia has been undergoing treatment under the supervision of cardiologist Prof Sahabuddin Talukdar of Evercare Hospital.
Former prime minister Khaleda Zia, 77, has been suffering from various ailments, including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, and kidney, lung, heart and eye problems.
