Rizvi brings out flash procession demanding Khaleda’s release

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has brought out a flash procession in Dhaka, demanding unconditional release of party Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is currently in jail in a graft case. Leaders and activists of the BNP and its associate organizations participated in the procession, which was held in front the party’s Nayapaltan office around 6am on Saturday. There was no presence of law enforcers around the BNP office during the demonstration. BNP Assistant Office Secretary Belal Ahmed and the party’s Executive Committee Member Aminul Islam were present in the procession among many others. Rizvi has been staying at the BNP Nayapaltan Office since February 28 this year, in a bid to avoid arrest by law enforcers.This article was first published on banglatribune.com
