First death anniversary of Dhaka Tribune employee Nazim Uddin observed

The first death anniversary of Dhaka Tribune employee Nazim Uddin, who died in a road accident, was observed on Friday.

Nazim, 37, a senior executive at the Dhaka Tribune’s advertisement department, was killed on May 17, 2018, as a bus hit his motorcycle and ran over him on Mayor Mohammad Hanif Flyover in Jatrabari, Dhaka. 

He was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where the doctors on duty pronounced him dead.

His family members and well-wishers organized special prayers and fed orphans in Dhaka as well as at his village in Bhola in his memory. 

The Lalmohan Foundation Dhaka, a social welfare organization of which he was the secretary general, organized special prayers during iftar as well. 

Nazim is survived by his wife Sabrina Yasmin Irene and two daughters – a 10-year-old and a one-year-old. 

The 37-year-old’s younger daughter had been born only four days before he died.
