March 3 marked the 47th death anniversary of Firoza Begum, the eldest daughter of renowned educationist of Feni and award-winning headmaster of Ataturk High School and Feni Pilot High School Late Jalal Uddin Ahmed.
She passed away on March 3, 1971 at the age of only 33 while being treated at a hospital in Rawalpindi. She was getting a blood transfusion but due to blood group incompatibility, she passed away.
She left behind four sons and one daughter. Her husband was the former director of Primary Education late Dr Saifuddin Ahmed. Her eldest son is retired additional secretary of Bangladesh government, Dr Helal Uddin Ahmed.
