In Jhenaidah: Two people have been killed and four more injured in a collision between a pickup truck and a human hauler on Kaliganj-Kotchandpur road in Patibila area under Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah district.
The deceased are human hauler driver Amir Khan, 50 and passenger Amzad Bishwas, 60.
Kaliganj police station Sub-Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
He said: “The accident left one dead on the spot and five injured on Saturday morning. One of the injured died at Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex.”In Tangail: Two motorcyclists have been killed in a road crash in Mirzapur upazila of Tangail district.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Gorai Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khalilur Rahman said: “A truck ran over a motorcycle in Deohata area, leaving two riders dead on the spot on Saturday morning.”
The killer truck has been seized, the OC added.
