Four children of a family drown in Natore

Four children of a family have drowned in a pond at Narayanpur village under Gurudaspur upazila of Natore district. The deceased are Meghla, 5, daughter of Mintu Mia, Meghla’s brother Rabbani, 3, cousins Shondha, 5, and Ratri, 3, children of Mintu’s brother Shimul. Shimul said the children got drowned in the pond near their house while playing around 4pm on Saturday. Later, locals noticed their bodies and recovered them around 8:30pm. Gurudaspur police station Office-in-Charge Dileep Kumar Das confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
