Fire service sources said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at the warehouse of the factory around 11pm.
On information, firefighters rushed to the spot and put the blaze after over six-hour efforts around 5am.
Kamal Uddin Bhuiyan, deputy assistant director of Chittagong Fire Service, the extent of damage of the fire was estimated at Tk4.50 lakh. However, no casualty was reported.
