A fire that broke out at the Ibn Sina Pharmaceutical Industry Limited factory in Shafipur, Kaliakair, Gazipur, on Saturday was brought under control within 1 hour.
It was not immediately known whether anyone had been injured or killed in the incident.
Hafizur Rahman, deputy director of Dhaka Fire Service, said 6 fire service units brought the fire under control at around 5:30pm. He said it was not yet known whether anyone had been injured or killed.
The fire is suspected to have originated in the factory's warehouse. All workers left the factory immediately after the fire broke out.
The fire started at around 4:30pm on Saturday, at the pharmaceutical factory. Fire service personnel brought it under control 1 hour later.
