A mobile court operation was conducted on Tuesday in Khulna city by Bangladesh Standards & Testing Institution (BSTI) divisional office, in coordination with the Khulna District Administration.
During the raid, New Market Day‑Seven Unique Super Shop was fined Tk 50,000 for selling products—including toilet soap, shampoo, face wash, nail polish, and lipstick—with unauthorized quality marks on the labels and packaging, without BSTI approval.
Meanwhile, Nurjahan Food Products, operating in Joraghat, Khalishpur, was fined Tk 10,000 for producing and selling lachha semai (vermicelli) in unhygienic conditions, providing false information on product labels, and operating without a BSTI CM license. Both fines were collected immediately on the spot.
The mobile court was led by Executive Magistrate Md Asaduzzaman Arif of the Khulna District Administration.
