A college student was killed in a road accident in Nandigram upazila of Bogra. The victim was
identified as Akash Mia (18), son of Badshah Mia from Muraridighi village under Bhatra union of
Nandigram upazila.
According to police and witnesses, the accident occurred in Moninag area under Bhatra union
on Katham–Kaliganj road on Thursday night when Akash, also a student of class XI at a college
in Dhaka, lost control of his bike and collided with a bhutbhuti coming from the opposite
direction.
He suffered severe head injuries and died on the spot, said Nandigram Police Station Officer-in-
Charge (OC) Mizanur Rahman.
His death cast a shadow of grief not only over his family but also over the entire village. After
Juma prayers, he was buried in the family graveyard.
OC Mizanur Rahman said that after completing the legal procedures, the body of the deceased
college student was handed over to his family. An unnatural death case has been filed with the
police station in this regard.
