The 2025 recruitment examination for assistant teachers under the district primary education department in Rangamati was postponed on Thursday. Earlier, after several rounds of postponement, all preparations had been completed to hold the exam on Friday.
Chairman of the Rangamati Hill District Council, Kajol Talukder, told journalists that due to a hartal called on the scheduled exam day, potential disruption to road transport and security concerns surrounding law and order, it had become risky to conduct the examination. After reviewing the situation and holding discussions with the relevant law-enforcement agencies and other responsible authorities, a decision was taken to postpone the exam once again.
He said the council regrets the suffering caused to candidates, parents and all others concerned due to the postponement.
