Five including four members of the Fire Service and Civil Defence, including an officer, were injured while battling a blaze at a chemical warehouse in Sahara Market area of Tongi on Monday.
The fire broke out at a tin-shed warehouse at 3:29pm, fire officials said. Seven firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control after frantic efforts, they said.
The injured have been identified as firefighters Officer Jannatul Naeem, Md Shamim, Md Nurul Huda and Md Joy Hasan.
