Police recovered the body of tourist Abu Sufian, 26, from the Ballaghat area of Jaflong in Gowainghat upazila early Tuesday, a week after he went missing in a river current.
Sufian, an electronic mechanic from Golapganj upazila, was swept away while swimming with friends at Zero-point last Wednesday.
Gowainghat police OC Md Tarikul Islam said the body will be handed over to the family after legal formalities.
