The hanging body of Mosammat Morium Khatun, 19, the second wife of Satkhira-4 MP GM Nazrul Islam, was recovered from a flat at NAM Bhaban in the capital on Sunday evening.
Police went to the flat around 7pm after receiving the news and found Morium hanging from a ceiling fan in a room.
Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station Officer-in-Charge Monirul Islam confirmed the matter.
“We are still at the scene. Details will be provided later,” he said.
