Following Phulgazi and Parshuram, the flood situation in Feni has further worsened as fresh flooding has now submerged Chhagalnaiya and Feni Sadar upazilas leaving 150,000 people stranded.
Water from the upstream Indian hills has inundated new areas, including Kazirbagh, Motobi and Fazilpur.
Although water has started to recede slightly, the extent of damage from collapsed houses and roads in Parshuram is becoming evident. Accumulated sand in the Dhanikunda area has created fresh suffering for locals. Meanwhile, the low-lying regions of Daganbhuiyan and Sonagazi are facing severe waterlogging.
There is also a crisis in the flood shelters. Many of those taking refuge are not receiving adequate food, clean water or medicine. Women and children are suffering the most.

According to the Feni Met Office, 50.5mm of rainfall was recorded in the past 24 hours. Although rainfall has decreased, the flow of floodwater remains strong.
According to the district administration, over 100 villages in Phulgazi, Parshuram, Chhagalnaiya and sadar upazilas have been flooded. Approximately 150,000 people remain stranded. Power supply and mobile networks have been shut down in many affected areas.
Phulgazi Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Fahriya Islam said: “Cooked meals are being distributed to those who have taken shelter. Volunteers are delivering food to those who are stranded in remote areas.”
Meanwhile, the army, Border Guard Bangladesh, police and various volunteer organizations are jointly conducting rescue and relief operations. Dry food, medicines and emergency supplies are being distributed.
