The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has said landslides may occur in the hilly regions of Chittagong division due to very heavy rainfall.
The BMD added in a bulletin issued on Wednesday morning that due to active southwest monsoon, heavy (44-88mm/24hrs) to very heavy (>88mm/24hrs) rainfall is likely to occur in Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna and Barisal divisions in the next 24 hours.
Besides, temporary waterlogging may occur in Dhaka, Chittagong and Khulna metropolitan areas.
