The Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet) Teachers' Association on Wednesday demanded the resignation of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Hazrat Ali and the restoration of normalcy on campus.
"We are calling for the appointment of a competent vice-chancellor to restore stability and ensure the proper functioning of the university," said Professor Dr Md Faruk Hossain, general secretary of the association, at a press conference held on campus following an emergency meeting.
He also urged the authorities to take immediate steps to resume academic activities and reestablish a conducive learning environment.
As part of their ongoing movement, Dr Faruk announced a human chain program to be held at 11:30am on Thursday under the banner of the Teachers' Association.
