BGB member's body recovered from his rented house

He was taken to Satkhira Medical College Hospital, where the attending physician declared him dead at around 11am

A member of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Abu Saleh Ahmed, 35, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at a rented residence in the Burigoalini area near the Neeldumur BGB camp in Shyamnagar, Satkhira, on Wednesday morning.

According to BGB sources, Soldier Abu Saleh Ahmed, bearing BGB ID No 103157, was serving with the 17 BGB Battalion in Neeldumur.

He had been residing in a rented house belonging to a local named Palash.

At approximately 6:50am, he was discovered in critical condition.

He was rescued and taken to Satkhira Medical College Hospital, where the attending physician declared him dead at around 11am.

Shafiqul Islam, investigation officer of Satkhira Sadar Police Station, confirmed the incident and stated that an unnatural death case has been filed.

Sub-Inspector Faruk Ali Mondal has been assigned to investigate the case and will proceed with the necessary legal steps.
