Two workers lost their lives in the explosion of a fire extinguisher at Rahim Afroz Battery Factory in Savar on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in the afternoon at the factory in the Khagan area of Birulia union, Savar upazila.
The deceased were Oli Ullah and Hayzuddin; however, further details regarding their identities remain unknown.
According to police reports, a vehicle carrying goods from Metro Net Bangladesh Limited arrived at the factory in Savar.
While unloading the materials inside the factory premises in the afternoon, a sudden explosion of a fire extinguisher resulted in the deaths of the two workers.
Upon receiving the report, police recovered the bodies in the evening.
Factory authorities declined to comment on the incident.
Savar model police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jewel Mia said that a thorough investigation will be conducted and necessary actions will be taken accordingly.
