Update : 03 Feb 2025, 12:31 PM

Following the conclusion of the first phase of the 58th Bishwa Ijtema of Tablighi Jamaat, the second phase has begun.

The formal proceedings commenced on Monday after the Fajr prayer and a general sermon.

Participants of the second phase have started arriving at the venue.

From 10am, Maulana Ahmed Hossain from India has been delivering sermons to the companions of the Nazm Jamaat.

Discussions (Muzakarah) are taking place across different kittas with the responsible companions participating. These discussions provide guidelines on how to spend the entire duration of the Ijtema.

As of now, 3,256 foreign guests from 72 countries have gathered at the venue. They will return to their respective countries after the conclusion of the second phase on Wednesday

Habibullah Rayhan, the media coordinator of Tablighi Jamaat Bangladesh’s Shura Nezam, has confirmed this information.

Meanwhile, after the completion of the three-day first phase of the Ijtema, the worshippers left the venue, and by Sunday before Maghrib prayer, the cleaning of the field was completed.

He also mentioned that after the Zuhr prayer, Maulana Zia-ul-Haq from Pakistan will deliver a sermon, followed by Maulana Rabiul Haq from Bangladesh after the Asr prayer, and Maulana Ahmed Lat from India after the Maghrib prayer.

Following the concluding prayer (Akheri Munajat) of the first phase, Tablighi volunteers and more than 300 cleaning workers from Gazipur City Corporation started cleaning up the waste.

To prevent inconvenience for foreign nationals, the police have arranged a general diary system at the Foreign Tent. The security measures for the second phase will remain the same as those implemented in the first phase, according to Gazipur Metropolitan Police.
