The miscreants vandalized and set fire to the district Awami League and Chhatra Union and BTCL offices in Sat Matha in Bogra.

The office of sadar upazila, Assistant Commissioner (Land) in the Boragola area of the town, was set on fire after several attacks.

Dr Abdul Wadud, deputy director of Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, said: “The bodies of two gunshot victims were brought here. By afternoon, 22 people were admitted in the hospital.”

Several students, who preferred to remain anonymous, said they wanted to conduct a peaceful rally. However, individuals from banned organizations like Jamaat, Shibir and BNP affiliate groups started vandalizing various establishments. This led to their failure to carry out the peaceful program.
