Bangladesh Railway will start selling advance train tickets for homebound trips before Eid-ul-Azha on Sunday to ensure smooth journeys during the holidays.
Railways Minister Md Zillul Hakim announced the date during a press conference at Rail Bhaban in Dhaka on Tuesday.
“Bangladesh Railway will operate 10 pairs of special trains. All the tickets will be sold online.
“The sale of tickets for trains bound for West Zone will start at 8am while the sale of tickets for east-bound trains will begin at 2pm.”
Tickets for June 12 will be sold on Sunday, while tickets for June 13, 14, 15 and 16 will be sold on June 3, 4, 5 and 6, respectively.
