Hundreds of aspirant teachers have staged a protest, alleging that the Non Government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) took the 2023 exam in wrong question papers.
The incident took place at Comilla Teachers' Training College centre on Friday.
Some of the aspirants said that instead of distributing the question papers for the general school level examination, they were handed the question papers of the technical division.
Despite informing the invigilators about the matter, they continued the examination with the wrong question papers.
At the end of the examination, the aspirant teachers took position in front of the principal's room of Comilla Teachers' Training College and protested the matter.
One the aspirant teachers, Sujon, said the invigilators denied handing over wrong question papers. However, after the examination, it was discovered that the question papers meant for the general school level and technical level had been interchanged.
As a result, the examinees of the room no 101, 311, 312 and 313 got the wrong question papers.
Razia Sultana, principal of Comilla Teachers' Training College, said she informed the magistrate about the matter. He will take further action.
Comilla Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rubaiya Khanam said: "The matter will be informed to the NTRCA and action will be recommended against those responsible.”
