The Armed Police Battalion (APBn) have arrested four members of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (Arsa) after conducting a raid in Ukhiya upazila in Cox’s Bazar.
The operation was conducted in the block E of Rohingya camp number 15 in Jamtoli on Thursday.
A total of 48 rounds of bullets, six local firearms, and hand grenades were recovered in the operation.
“Being tipped off, several teams of APBn conducted the operation and arrested four Arsa members when they tried to flee from the scene,” said Additional Deputy Inspector General Md Amir Zafar at a press briefing at the APBn-8 headquarters on Friday morning.
“Members of the Arsa group were planning to cause major sabotage and unrest in the camp,” he added.
