Three people were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a pickup van on the Sherpur-Mymensingh highway on Tuesday morning.
The deceased were pickup driver Kamrul Islam and passengers Abdul Qadir and Mijanur Rahman.
Tarakanda police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Wajed Ali said the accident happened when the truck, carrying potatoes and going towards Fulpur collided with the pickup headed towards Mymensingh.
The driver of the pickup was killed on the spot.
The other two injured were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where the duty doctor declared them dead.
