Police arrested two BNP leaders from Bondor Bazar area of Sylhet metropolitan around 4:30pm on Saturday.
The arrestees are Sylhet BNP General Secretary Emdad Hossain Chowdhury, and Muminul Islam Mumin, president of the Sylhet district unit of Jubo Dal.
They were arrested while distributing leaflets supporting the non-cooperation movement and boycotting the upcoming 12th national parliamentary election scheduled in January.
Kotwali Model police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Moin Uddin said that a case had been filed against them.
