Launch services between Barisal and other parts of the country resumed on Saturday morning after 24 hours of suspension due to the cyclonic storm Midhili.
Deputy Director of BIWTA and Barisal River Port Officer Abdur Razzak said, the operation of launches resumed at 7am after the effects of cyclone Midhili ended.
BIWTA had previously suspended all types of river vessels from 10am on Friday due to inclement weather caused by the cyclone.
Meanwhile, the rain caused by the cyclone has inundated the roads in various parts of Barisal city.
Residents of Battala, Srinath Chatarjee Lane, and Bogra Road have been trapped in 2-foot-high water since the cyclone hit the country's coastal areas.
