Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places across the country.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country", said a met office forecast for the next twenty-four hours begins from 9am on Friday.

The highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am Friday was recorded by 74mm at Sandwip.
