Minister of Liberation War AKM Mozammel Haque expressed his dissatisfaction with the actions of the United States concerning Bangladesh, saying that even Bangladesh's Union Parishad members do not make comments similar to those made by Donald Trump during elections.
Donald Trump, as a candidate, declared that he would not accept the election results if he lost, Bangladeshi Union Parishad members do not even say that, the minister said during a program in Narayanganj on Saturday.
“But today they (the US) teach us about democracy. Those who sent the Seventh Fleet to intercept our freedom fighters. Even after the independence of the country, when our leader Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman applied for membership of the United Nations, it was blocked,” he added.
He also said conspiracies are being hatched to tarnish the history of Bangladesh's glory.
“Those who could not accept our freedom in 1971 are its perpetrators. Those who have taken our independence as a defeat, are conspiring because they have not forgotten the pain of that defeat,” he added.
