The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different parts of Bangladesh in the 24 hours from 9am on Friday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places in Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, and at many places in Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places across the country, said a met office bulletin.
Day and night temperatures may fall slightly.
The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded at 35.3 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi while Friday's lowest temperature, 23.5 degrees Celsius, was recorded in Bandarban.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours was recorded at 144 millimetres in Tetulia.
