A case has been filed under the Digital Act against Adhora Yeasmein, who works at the Dhaka office of private television RTV, for publishing a news. 

She has been asked to appear at the Noakhali District CID office on Friday for preliminary interrogation.

On May 13, a person named Shakerul Kabir filed the case as a plaintiff in the court of Judge Mohammad Zahirul Kabir of Chittagong Cyber Tribunal.

The court took cognizance of the case on the same day and directed the Noakhali District Unit of the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate and submit a report. Although the matter was not made public until recently after about two months of filing the case.

Meanwhile, on June 24, investigating officer of the case and Inspector of Noakhali District CID, Muhammad Rafiqul Islam served a notice to the defendant Adhora Yeasmein. 

Adhora Yeasmein, the defendant in the case, has been asked to appear at the Noakhali District CID office on Friday for preliminary interrogation.

Adhora Yeasmein published a news on RTV about Pir Dillur Rahman and his followers of Rajarbagh Darbar Sharif of the capital. In view of this, a person got aggrieved and filed the case under the relevant section of the Digital Security Act.
