Fire Service and Civil Defence personnel on Wednesday recovered the body of a Dhaka University student 44 hours after he went missing in the Gorai River.
The deceased was Tanvir, 23, a fourth-year student of pharmacy at Dhaka University and a resident of Barguna.
Kushtia Fire Service Assistant Director Jane Alam confirmed the matter.
Earlier on Monday, 13 students of Dhaka University's pharmacy department went to visit various spots in Meherpur and Kushtia. Tanvir went missing while taking a bath in the Gorai River in Kumarkhali upazila.
