In a remarkable show of resilience, two students from Barisal division, Sanjida Islam Ria from Barguna district and Rakib Hossain from Patuakhali district, attended their SSC exams amidst their fathers' deaths.

These students' unwavering commitment to education has moved their communities to come forward with support and assistance.

Sanjida Islam Ria, an SSC examinee from Barguna district, faced a horrific tragedy as her father Shafiqul Islam Panu was brutally hacked to death in front of her eyes over pre-election enmity on Wednesday.

Despite the traumatic experience, Sanjida attended her English first paper exam at Ayla High School on the same day.

School Secretary Dhiman Chandra Roy mentioned that the school provided emotional support and security during Sanjida's exam.

Similarly, Rakib Hossain, an SSC examinee in Dashmina upazila of Patuakhali district, attended his Bangla first paper exam just hours after his father's death on April 30.

He left his deceased father Ibrahim Sardar's body at home to attend the exam.

After the examination, Rakib returned home and participated in his father's namaz-e-janaza.

Rakib's courageous story has since been widely covered in various media and social platforms.

Following that, Dashmina Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Nafiza Naz Nira inquired about Rakib's family situation and pledged to provide him with a high-quality computer and six months of computer training from the Department of Youth Development.

This assistance aims to help Rakib earn money to pay for his education.

Galachipa Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Mohiuddin Al Helal, after reading about Rakib's circumstances in several newspaper outlets, decided to contribute educational materials from his personal funds to help Rakib continue his studies.

Additionally, Baharampur Union Parishad Chairman Md Assaduzzaman Shoag promised a cash payment of Tk5,000 and the necessary support for Rakib to further his education.

Sohag emphasized that Rakib's education should not be halted due to the loss of his family's primary earner, and he pledged to help Rakib through this difficult time.
