The three-member committee has been directed to submit a report within the next seven working days. We will send the investigation report to the disciplinary committee when we get it. If the truth of torture comes out in the investigation report, strict action will be taken against those involved.”

Earlier, a senior student named Dolon of the same hall was accused of mentally torturing a student of the 2020-21 academic year of the social work department of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall for seven days.

Sources said, unable to bear the torture, the victim girl fainted on Tuesday. Later, she was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH). She is currently undergoing treatment there.

Meanwhile, in another incident, the investigation committee found the truth of the allegations of torture and death threats against Krishna Roy, a student of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of Rajshahi University.
