A Bangladeshi national has been injured in a landmine explosion in the Sadar Union of Naikhongchhari upazila of Bandarban, bordering Myanmar.
Thirty-year-old Anwar Hossain sustained injuries in various parts of his body, including severe damage to his right leg, doctors said.
According to locals, Anwar was injured in the landmine explosion near the border Pillar No 44/45 in Chakdhala Ashartali, while trying to bring cattle from Myanmar around 4pm on Monday.
Anwar is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Cox's Bazar, said the Chairman of Naikhongchhari Sadar Union, Nurul Absar Emon.
On September 16 last year, another Bangladeshi youth's leg was blown off by a landmine explosion on the Myanmar territory across the Tumbru border of the upazila.
On October 2, a Rohingya teen was killed and another critically injured in a landmine explosion inside Myanmar along its border with Bangladesh. He was identified as Omar Farooq,16, of Zero Point Rohingya Camp.
