Police recovered the bodies of a woman along with her four-year-old daughter from a residential hotel in Cox's Bazar on Friday afternoon.
The deceased, Suma Dey, 35, and her daughter were from Banshkhali upazila of Chittagong.
The bodies were recovered from a room at the “Hotel Sea Alif” at around 2pm, said Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Cox's Bazar sadar model police station.
Rafiqul Islam said that Suma along with her husband, two sons and daughter came to the hotel on February 14.
They visited various spots in the Cox's Bazar during their holiday, and were also normal on Friday morning.
In the afternoon, a hotel staff found the room opened and spotted the bodies of the woman and her daughter. On information, police recovered the bodies.
The OC added that they could not find the woman's husband and sons after the incident was reported. “The murder incident is currently being investigated.”
