A 12-year-old schoolboy was killed after being hit by a motorcycle in Comilla while he was attending a procession after Argentina won the Fifa World Cup final match on Sunday night.
The incident took place in the district's Manoharganj upazila at around 12am, reports Bangla Tribune.
The deceased has been identified as Shaon Mia, a fifth-grader of a local school.
Besides, the motorcycle driver, Md Antar, was also injured in the crash, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Laksam Highway police outpost Emon Chowdhury.
“The local youths took out a procession on the Comilla-Noakhali Highway with a fleet of motorcycles after Argentina's victory match on Sunday. At that time, Shaon was hit by a motorcycle and died on the spot,” the OC said.
They have settled the matter among themselves, he added.
