A fire broke out at a television showroom in Jamalpur municipal town early Tuesday.
The massive fire broke out at ‘Rahman Electronics and Refrigerator' on Shaheed Harun road around 12:30am.
Local residents informed Jamalpur fire service as they saw smog coming out from the locked showroom.
On information, two vehicles of fire service reached the spot and doused the fire after half an hour of frantic effort.
The fire gutted LED televisions, refrigerators and other electronics products, causing a loss of around Tk50lakh, claimed the shop owner Khandaker Shamsur Rahman.
Md Rabiul Islam, senior station officer of Jamalpur Fire Service, said that primarily it was assumed that the fire originated from electric short circuit.
