The hanging body of a head teacher of a government primary school was found in a rented house in Old Bogra's Mollahpara area Monday afternoon.
The deceased is Jeon Afroz Kanika, 39.
Quoting the family, Sub-inspector (SI) Rubel Sarkar of the stadium police outpost said that she committed suicide due to marital dispute. However, the actual cause of death will be known after getting the post-mortem report.
Police and locals said that Jeon Afroz Kanika is the head teacher of Kaichar Government Primary School in Bogra sadar upazila and wife of Sirajul Islam who works at a private institution in Jessore.
On Monday morning, she left her two children at a relative's house and returned home at Mollahpara. She had an argument over phone with her husband in the morning. Later, in the afternoon, her body was found hanging to the ceiling fan.
On information, members of the stadium police outpost recovered the body of Kanika and sent it to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue.
In this regard, her brother filed a case at sadar police station, said SI Rubel.
