Four people have been killed when a train hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Monohorganj of Laksam upazila in Comilla.
The incident took place on Comilla-Noakhali rail track in Khilar Tughuria level crossing area around 9:45am on Tuesday morning.
Abdul Alim, assistant sub-inspector of Laksam railway police station, said that three people were killed on the spot and another was injured after the train hit the auto-rickshaw.
Later, the injured died at a local health complex.
A team of police went to the spot, said the ASI.
Jasim Uddin Khandaker, officer-in-charge of Laksam railway police station, said there was no gateman at the level crossing as it was unauthorized.
The auto-rickshaw was plunged into a ditch after being hit by the train, said the OC.
